Inspired by a post over at The Ivory Hut, I thought I'd have a go at some night shots (well almost night). She shoots with a Canon S5 IS (the next model up from my S3). Unless they have made some significant improvement in noise level tolerance between models, I don't know HOW she gets hers so good!! Mine were hand held (as were hers, near enough), but unless I was shooting statues... These are lightened too (which I know adds to the noise even more), but they were simply indefinable without that!

A Shoot in the (almost) dark!

So here they are - shot at 4 in the afternoon (it's winter here!) @ ISO 800, speed as low as poss for moving targets (like 1/13, or maybe lower I think!) f.3.4 or lower!;

Glorious Autumn/Fall
I went out today to get some Autumn shots, as it really is getting beautiful around here now. Everywhere is berries and seeds and changing leaves. And every now and then I find something clinging on to summer :D
Overall I'm pleased with what I captured, but I can't wait to see what I can do one day with a real DSLR in my hands...
Most of these have had some contrast adjustment as I just don't think my camera gives the photos quite enough, and no matter how hard I try I cannot make it see the colours the way my eye does 'in camera', but with a little increase of contrast pp (and nothing more) they seem much truer to life :D
My difficulty has been choosing the best ones, so I've posted a few plus a slideshow :D
Enjoy!!

The light in itself is simply awesome at this time of year, I somehow wish I could just capture that, but I guess it is best seen in those more distant landscape shots with all that autumn glow.
